That's pretty cool. I am weak too, yesterday I ordered a 19" foxy folly from Yangdu. I'm gonna give that to myself for Christmas. Today my Karda arrived and WOW. Believe me you've gotta get yourself one of those. I think its my favorite HI knife. That antler looks like it would be uncomfortable in the hand, but NO IT AINT!!!!

After two months I don't think I had quite as many, but I lived near dead, dry, choppable trees and my khuks were larger.

I like them. That's a big Ganga Ram leading the pack, isnt it?

I like the composition--especially the ladies undergarments:thumbup: ;) :p

Just teasing! Seriously though, Nice collection:thumbup: You're only about 3 behind me, and I started in '99:eek:

Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear

sung to the tune "Walkin' in the Winter Wonderland"

Lacy things, the wife is missing
Didn't ask for her permission
I'm wearing her clothes, her silk pantyhose
Walking 'round in women's underwear

In the store, there's a teddy,
With little straps, like spaghetti
It holds me so tight,
Like handcuffs at night,
Walking 'round in women's underwear

In the office, there's a guy named Melvin
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown,
He'll say are you ready, we'll say -Whoa, man!
Let's wait until the wife is out of town.

Later on, if you wanna
We can dress, like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade, and join the parade,
Walkin 'round in women's underwear

Lacy things, missing
Didn't ask permission
I'm wearing her clothes, silk pantyhose
I'm walking around in women's underwear

One each week - at that rate you will have 52 more in another year, and will help send some Kami's kids to college.

You need to develop a trick to slow down a little - unless you have lots of room for storage and unlimited funds.

I usually try to refinish the handles of mine, and not buy another one until I am done with the last one in.

This only buys me 1 week....

email sent on camo bedspread.... :D

Seriously, is that an antler handled Pen Knife?

Has there been such a thing? or is it a light wood one?

I see a kobra, and possibly a village special too.

Lineup info, bigjim?

and I *think* the song is from a classic SNL sketch... I hope....

OK as per request the line up....

1. Ganga Ram 24 inch and 45 oz. Very cool and razor sharp and with out a doubt to large for me to use or control in any way. This is my favorite. By Bura.

2. CAK 20 inch by Bura. Gentle mods include wicked saber style edge. Satin finish (600 grit) Lemon Juice etch. Handle smoothed and sharp edges deburred. I want to use this one. I Am lifting weights and it may be possible in a few years.

3. 18 Inch Sirupati by Bura. Edge sharpened and ready for war. I can actually swing this one with out snapping bones in my back.

4. 17 inch Sher Foxy Folly blem I got for a song from Yangdu on the daily specials. Had a bad crack but I fixed it right up and this baby took a wicked edge.

5. BAS. Purchased second hand and I have not really started messing with it yet

6. 15 Inch AK SWEET BLADE and it took a edge that will shave hair the entire length of the blade.

7. 12 Inch Sirupati. Blade and handle smoothed and satin finish with lemon juice etch applied. This is a fun little berserker.

8. 12 Pen Knife with light wood handle. Really thinned the edge on this one and it is the sharpest knife I own currently. The heat treat that came out when I etched the blade is a thing of beauty! The satin finish and patina I applied to the brass make this knife a real looker. I cut up a tough piece of brisket with this last night. Looked up and my wife eyes were wide as could be. She said she had never been scared of cutting meat before. :D

Cool Jim! I wondered where the other 24" GRS went to. It's funny the only two of that size (so far) are living pretty near each other!

BTW, my absolute favorite is #2. You did a great job with that finish. I have several 15", 15.5" and 16.5" CAK's, but nothing larger.

Actually that's not quite true. I do have a 26.5" CAK, but it is unfortunately so heavy as to require two hands to really use it. For some strange reason Sher made it massively heavier than he needed to, which has always puzzled me. At 26.5" it should be about 45 or 46 oz., but is instead an amazing 4.5 pounds! (73 oz.) I only use it a couple of times a year beheading cows for backyard feasts, etc. ;)

Getting an 18" or 20" CAK is on my wish list.

I have one I snagged last year, just after you got the first antler 14" BDC I think. Haven't seen one since, but I could have possibly missed it.

Man alive, Norm, you are the HI museum curator :D . An antler PK would be sweet...

Bigjim's off to a good start here. If I can just get a 25" AK and a 25" GRS, I'll call it quits. Oh, yeah, the falcata too. And a falcata villager, 'cause the first falcata's too pretty to use. And a villager katana, when Bura gets around to it.
