Not mine....Saw this posted recently online, supposedly it's about 25 years old or older. I asked a few questions, but the poster doesn't seem to have much knowledge about it. I asked about the pommel (peen, bolt, hex nut, whatever) and blade characteristics, since I'm aware if the problem most rapiers have as being too whippy and not returning to true. It's unsharpened, but as a thrusting weapon, maybe it shouldn't be? Not sure. Just checking if anyone knows if it's a wallhanger or decent quality. The fittings and pewter finish LOOK really nice!

Which facebook group did you see it in?

I pulled a couple of relevant. Looks like MRL/India stuff.

Swords for Sale. Someone mentioned Museum Replicas in a post earlier. Like I said, I asked about the pommel and the steel flexibility and he said "He didn't know" even though I said to just grab the hilt and tip and bend it, so I'll pass. I think he's asking three fifty, if you're interested, though a couple of posters have already expressed interest. Looks a lot like the Brandenburg rapier from MRL

Interesting. The guard and pommel do look straight from the Windlass Brandenburg, though the grip is different and there is no companion dagger to that particular rapier, afaik. Maybe a hodge-podge of parts?

I dunno...the fit and finish, from the pics I see, look a little too symmetrical and seamless to be a cobbled together thing, especially since there's a matching dagger. Most likely it's just a discontinued line of rapiers 25 or 30 years old.

I passed on it. If you can't tell me if the blade is flexible or stiff, you're hiding something. Something better came up anyway!
