Rare Fixed Blades

As a renewed participant in BladeForums, after a long absence, I would like to share a few great photos recently taken by Rich Slaughter.
I entitled these as "rare fixed blades" as I specialize in folders and only make a few fixed blades per year.
The palm dagger has a D2 blade with scales of Norris stainless damascus and pearl. The pearl is is retained by 14kt gold pins, and the Norris slices are attached to each other by hidden screws.
The other knife is also of D2, with D2 scales, designed with the handle section as a mirror image of the blade.
Not shown are a pair of great looking sheaths by Chris Kravitts of Treestump Leather.

I hope that you enjoy this photo.

Ummmmmm.......dude........make more fixed blades like these:D The fixed blades on your website are VERY nice, but you have gone off into new and uncharted territory with these two.

Very stylish designs. Nice blade to handle transitions. Flows well. Interesting........
What's the handle material on the top piece?

Very stylish Kelly. Dramatic photos to match. Very different than other knives of yours that i've seen.

Kelly, these were beautiful pieces. I thought the lines on both were very clean. I know they were a departure from most of your previous fixed knives, and I agree with those comments made that you should revisit these designs and ideas.. Again, really fine work... Regards, Rich

Hi Kelly,

Yes, there is more than meets the eye in any 'simple' design, and these are stellar examples. Nice flow.

Rich, great job showing the subtle blade grinds and handle curves. Again, done right, it looks 'easy'. ;)

Nice to see this post!

Absolutely fantastic! That is the nicest push dagger upon which my eyes have ever glanced. The other , most beautifully simple. A hard one to pull off in my opinion.
Glad to see you here Mr. C. Your Falcon and 117 have always been BIG favorites of mine. Kevin
