Rare new ecolite found at the hardware store.

I have spotted one in the case at the local general store. They say they still have the box. I'm not sure if it's a knife I would carry and use, but is it a collectable that one should pick up to pass on or resell?
 
A sturdy light weight knife that feels good in the hand. Easy to carry. They don't make it now, so I guess it's collectible. But I would buy it to use it.
 
If it's a bargain. .even a little. .pick it up if for no other reason to trade for a different Buck down the road. As I look back on all the opportunities I've had to buy a great Buck at a great price and passed I wish now that I would have bought them. I was so blinded by my desire to add to my 112 collection for example I missed chances on big fixed blade Striders that I could now trade easily for very rare 112's .Most Paperstone Rangers sell for over $50.00 .Some colors for more.

I hope I didn't cross the line with my comment. .I'll be glad to delete if I did with my apologies. .I don't know if Plum is considered a red but I've seen the green one's go for a little more at times. Frankly I don't see many listings period on the bay for them and the green one's higher price might be statistically a aberration. I always wondered why it was dropped by Buck as I consider it a great EDC..

I just picked up one, lightly used with mint sheath for $35 the other day. No idea if it's worth that to anyone but me?
 
While I do not think they are all that collectable, some folks on fleabay are scalping them. This is a knife I wish Buck would bring back with different colors.
