Hi Guys,

Any one have or seen a PUMA 6356 ORIGINAL BOWIE KNIFE with 10" High carbon steel blade, and wooden handle?
I bought one, blind from interstate thats supposed to be unused in its wooden box, the prod number of " 21781" indicates it was made in 1987? but the previous owner claims its older?
Anyone help here?
Anyone have any idea what its worth?

Thanks

Yes, it was made in the first half of 1987. The handle is probably jacaranda wood. I don't know where the wood box came from, it should be a green and yellow plastic box. If it is in good condition, it could bring up to $200 or more on ebay; check completed sales on ebay to get a feel for the current value.

The older carbon steel Puma knives were very good, they had the heat treat worked out.

I doubt that they made the green and yellow boxs that big. Not enough of those made to justify the cost of tooling. A. G.
