Recently aquired Reeve Tanto..
Rare as it's early SA made (Prob early 80's) and also it's a large tanto blade.
7 inch blade.. #56..
Made in SA and apparently very early due to no ' Made in South Africa ' stamp on the right hand side of the blade.. Reeve began exporting his knives to the States but was told he must state the country of origin, he then began stamping his blades.
If you look closely at the last picture you can see the machining marks above the grind.. Which I believe is a characteristic of the SA knives Reeve made..
I was told by the previous owner this knife was carried by a French legionare but obviously I cannot guarentee that..
The only flaw is a few scratches on the removable butt cap..
The dedicated collector could send this back to Reeve for a refurb or leave it to add to its history..
$400... Insured shipping covered here PayPal please add the fee's.. SOLD
Interested in trades for Randall and Dozier knives.. Cash alteration either way.
