Rare Spyderco Manix Appreciation!!!

Thought I’d share a rare bird or at least what I think is a rare bird with some fellow Spyderco fans!!! I haven’t seen another one of these for sale or trade in a while(none that I can recall).

This is a limited-edition Fradon Lock Company Manix 2. I think the marbled carbon fiber looks incredible and I believe the grind is pretty rare as well, 4V hollow ground blade.

I called Fradon Lock and they said they thought there were about 800 or so made and it was their first exclusive along with a Delica.

Would love to see other rare Manix if you have pictures and info!!!

Love the marbled cf it looks outstanding, yet I am almost afraid to ruin it :/.

I have 2 exclusive manix 2, that I carry and use. Not sure if they are rare though.

Nice! The Manix is my favorite Spyderco. I'm not sure if they are rare, but I do have 2 exclusives

The Knife Joker exclusive LW in 20CV and translucent teal FRCP. I don't often chase exclusives, but as soon as I saw this release I knew I had to snag one. I hike up to alot of alpine lakes that are a similar color, and this one makes for the perfect companion.

The other is a Cru-Wear exclusive from Knifecenter, originally in CF. Not the more recent one, this one was a release from years ago. The rarity is no longer of any significance however, as I have since customized it. I replaced the CF with TeroTuf and gave the blade an acid wash. This was a user for many years before, and my modifications breathed new life into and brought it back into my rotation, so I'm fine with the decision to not keep it original.

Yes that’s correct, the other is dlt exclusive cruwear/purple manix 2.
I really don’t like 20cv steel but I always seem to gravitate to this red manix.

Many thanks! Credit must go to the natural surroundings rather than any particular skill on my part, and that prism effect from the sun with the color of the knife coming through was just pure serendipity. I'll take it though

How about the bottom one here? It's an old school back lock Mini Manix (which is the size of the current standard Manix 2). Shown with S110V G10 and lightweight models. This is an older picture, if I was more motivated I'd dig out the old Mini Manix for some better pics. It was, if I recall, my first USA made Spyderco knife. I bought it when they went on closeout after being discontinued.
