That CHinook 1 and Renegade both should fetch at least a decent market value. There's been quite a few guys over at the Spyderco.com forum wanting the Renegade and Blackhawk both lately. I would like another Renegade myself but I'm hoping they do a Sprint run with a newer/better blade steel. But a collector grade Renegade should draw some serious interest. Question? Is it one of the older GOLDEN, CO USA Earth made Renegades or is it one of the later Japan made models?

There are also a lot of the guys who are fanatical about all the Chinook models. Personally I've always had a special liking for the Chinook 3 model which I would like to see return in one of the supersteels. But from a collector standpoint that one should draw some serious interest. Because the very first ones were made with that 440V>> it wasn't too long until they ceased the production of 440V units and went to S30V. I've found that the older 440V models to be hard to locate so you've got that going for you.

Also you could probably get some awesome trades from all four of those you listed.

oh wow interesting. yea both of them are 2 of my fav design ever.

the renegade is a golden co usa renegade. it acquired it from an older gentleman who is getting rid of his old collection...its mint
The chinook is also in excellent condition...also golden co usa

any idea the ball park value of these 2?

No unfortunately I can't really give you a ball park estimate on either one of those models. However I will say that both should draw some serious interest and very quickly I might add.

The GOLDEN, CO USA Earth made Renegade is getting very hard to find and they aren't many who are even aware that the Renegade & Blackhawk models were at one time made at the GOLDEN, CO plant. The earlier Meerkat models were also one of the few classics that were made at GOLDEN and the Japan plants both.

Personally I bet you would have extremely good luck trading them here on BF and you might be surprised at what those models would fetch in a trade. The trouble with the two auction sites is that many of the players there now aren't even aware of the history of those two models and I wouldn't want you to risk giving them away at a ridiculously low price.

But there are tons of Chinook fans here at BF and I bet you could get a great trade with it and the Renegade both IMO.

Speaking of the Chinook model>> the very first Chinook which was launched in about 2003-2004 or thereabout. The very first ones were made with 440V ( S60V) and those are really getting tough to find. So being yours is one of the original 440V units I would hold out for a fat trade if nothing else. It might even do well on one of the auction sites at this stage of the game.

But back to the RENEGADE>> there are a lot of the older Spyderheads like myself and even a considerable amount of newcomers that really like that model and it's been brought up several times as a possible Sprint Run Candidate. I myself would like to see the RENEGADE brought back in one of the newer/better blade steels.
