Hello I am new to this site and I want to share a very rare SOG folder I refer to it as the Unicorn of SOG knives. It is the original Team leader and only approximately 350 were ever made. I bought the knife back in I believe 1988 it had been a trade in at a gun shop in San Leandro CA. called Traders. I contacted SOG specialties at the time and was informed they were already rare so I put the knife away in my vault and that's where it has sat for almost 40 years. I would grade it as excellent as it has never been used or sharpened. It has been handled though but not much. Thanks 👍

Here's some info.

From 2009 here.

Well I have pictures but begin technically challenged I'm not sure how to do it.. I will check with someone who is more pro efficient than I. Thanks 👍

If you're not a paying member, you need to use an image hosting site. Look into imgur or flickr, or get a gold membership.

This will allow you to upload pictures from your phone or PC. If you decide to sell it here, it will also let you PM members. Which is highly recommended, to keep scammers away.

You can just select “Attach Files” and then once you select the picture(s) from your photo library, you then select “insert” and then select “full image”

The OP's knife looks like a derivative of the original SOG Tomcat

Do you have the original box or paperwork? Can we get a better picture of the blade? Can’t really tell if it’s blue or not, I think it is.

I don't have the box or paper work it's as I bought it back in 1988 it was traded in at a gun shop in San Leandro CA. Who ever had it first did not give them the box. The handle scales are Micarta kind of greenish blue black. Sorry that's the best pictures my phone will take.

I remember seeing one of these when they first hit a local dealer. Should’ve, could’ve, but didn’t. It was sooooo very different from any other folder I’ve ever seen up to that point. Instead I bought a Tomcat like N2S posted. Carried it a lot when I was in the Army.

Well I am interested in selling I'm 71 now and need to let some things move on.
