EDIT: Just so everyone knows for future reference, Peter said to reach out to maprik on Instagram for US spa services.

Hey everyone!

I hope this is the right place to put this kind of thing. I just bought a mini satori in damasteel that's absolutely gorgeous, but, it's got some lock stick, unfortunately. I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and what they've done to fix it. I have some sharpie on the tang and that's helping a bit. Will it eventually go away?

I've had a few Rassenti's in the past and never had this issue. I thought that he carbodized the lockbar so I'm nervous about why this is happening.

Thanks everyone!

Beautiful blade! I have a Satori and the lock it flawless. Have you disassembled the knife? If not are you the only owner? I only ask as I have had knives that have developed some stick after accidentally getting some oil on the lock face. I usually take a q tip with some rubbing alcohol on it to clean the lock face and it is usually good as new.

I have a carbidizer and have done a bunch of knives. Some stick at first and then smooth out. If you haven't opened it more than a handful of times, it could just be that.

Thanks man! So I have disassembled it a couple times to try and figure out what's up and at the moment it has nearly no oil to prevent that from happening. I guess I was mostly wondering if anyone has had issues with lock stick with a Rassenti essentially right out of the box. I

f so, no worries, I'll work through it haha. But if not, it sucks because he's in Canada and shipping knives there is nearly impossible atm :/

Hey! Ahh that's good to hear. However I've been flipping for like three days straight trying to get rid of the lock stick. It's still there, but the the sharpie is making it bearable.

The tough thing is in most cases I'd send it back for a spa day, but he's in Canada and customs hates knives up there haha.

If you reach out to him I believe he has a guy in the states that works on his knives if there are any problems. I've seen it mentioned on Instagram but I can't recall the name. I've reached out to Peter on IG and he has responded so you may want to try that route.

Also If you decide you don't want it or you can't deal with the lock stick I'll be happy to take if off your hands. :p
