RAT 1 Problem

Hey guys. Over the past few days I've noticed my rat 1 has been getting harder and harder to open and there's some grinding in the hinge. Not so much grinding but rubbing that you can definitely hear. I also noticed that the blade centering is WAY OFF. I took it apart last night and noticed that one of the nylon or plastic washers is missing. Could that be the issue? It seems like such a small thing to cause such a big problem. But if it is the problem is there a way to get a replacement or a fix you guys know about or is this the excuse I need to buy a new knife?😀 Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

The washer missing is definitely a problem. I don't have any experience with Ontario's warranty, but this does sound like a good excuse for a new knife

Ontario has pretty kick ass customer service. If you go to their forum here and ask I'd bet they send you a new one.
