First post on the forums. I have a Rat 1 with up and down blade play due to a worn stop pin. I've swapped out other pins from the handle but hasnt improved. I was wondering if anyone knew the sizes of the pin so i could find a hardened, solid stop pin that would fit or if anyone can show me a post or video on how to make one. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Your best bet might be to just contact the company. They might be able to fix the knife or even replace it for tou. I agree the Rat folders are some really nicely made knives for a great price.

Welcome to Bladeforums, Syndrome. I like Mr. Rev's idea. That's a good place to start. You must use that sucker pretty good to wear down the stop pin. I have the Rat 2 in my pocket.

I measure mine to be 4.48mm The "pin" is actually one of the standoffs of the handle. It is not cylindrical in the end that gets in the liners, there is a flat part in the end that goes in to the lock liner.
It's doable but requires some skills and proper equipment (a small lathe i.e.)
Good luck!
