Rat 1 Washer Question

Hi everyone, I was cleaning my new Rat 1 and noticed the washers had a little paper like or really thin nylon layer over them. What is this?

I'm not exactly sure what you have.

Unless something has changed RAT 1's should have 4 washers, one Teflon and one bronze per side... Teflon goes against the blade and the bronze goes against the handle.

That's what it is, thank you! I didn't know it was supposed to have more than one on each side.

I recently took apart my Rat 1 for cleaning and noticed I actually only had 3 washers, 1 bronze and 2 nylon…was very intrigued so I found this post. Must just have been an issue at factory
