Spec-wise, thes two knives are very similar. The Zancudo is a bit thinner (handle thickness), but the stainless steel framelock slab gives it a heftier feel. Although both handles are the same length, the positioning of the indention for the index finger gives about 1/4" to 1/2" more usable handle. The thumb ramp on the RAT-2 is helpful in some grips.
Out of the box, the RAT-2 had far smoother opening and closing action. The lock on the Zancudo is also very sticky. Granted, I haven't had either knife for long, so neither has had a chance to wear in.
I like the texture pattern on the Zancudo's FRN handles more. The stonewash finish on the Zancudo's blade, framelock scale, and pocket clip looks fantastic. The RAT-2 has a 4-position clip, whereas the Zancudo only has right handed clip positions. The RAT-2 also rides slightly lower (both tip up and down), but the difference is very minor (maybe 1/4").
