I have been wanting a small fixed blade for EDC and I decided to treat myself this year. I was at a local army surpluss store today where they have alot of nice knives benchmade, boker,AL Mar,lone wolf, and many more. I noticed the RAT-3 sitting at the bottom of the case and knew that I was going to buy it before I handled it. Its the 1095 verson but thats ok I am starting to like carbon steels again, In the 8 hours I have had to sharpen and get a feel for this knife its quickly becoming my favorite. How many of you carry this knife and what do you think.

P.S. my birthday is not till saturday but I just couldn't wait:D

just got one myself in 1095 aswell and couldnt be more pleased with this knife. It was exactly what i was looking for in a small edc fixed blade. pefect amount of ruggedness and slicing power, awesome sheath, and great handles... its deff one of my favorite knives that i own

Great knife, good steel, great ergo's, and very EDC-able.........:D

Overall a great knife for the money. Nice sheath too!
It's more rugged then you would expect. And the guys from RAT stand behind their products!

You did good getting this knife for your b-day! Have a good one!

I agree the sheath is very adaptable to almost any carry possition, the blade is very thin but I know 1095 is very strong. I bought it when I was at work yesterday and even with the factory edge it was slicing through cigar sized tree limbs with ease. this is also my first knife with micirta handles and I am very pleased with them, overall a very nice knife

Just sold my Bk11 and got the RAT-3. To me it is nearly perfect. Grip is too thin for some, but compared to a BK11 it is down right beefy. Got it Monday!
