Rat 3 sheath

I bought a Rat 3 & I really like it . My problem is the sheath .
It's extremely tight . I tried heating it like Kydex , but that
didn't work . Any way to loosen it or is it better to just buy
another sheath ?

How and where is being too tight on the knife?
 
My 3 sheath is the same way. However, unlike other sheaths I have, this one never has caused me to dull the edge. There is also no chance of it falling out. So for me it is an awesome fit. (I get that you want yours to fit looser, and that's cool. Just letting you know picking up a new one may have the same results. )
 
Hopefully some one will drop in who has had a similar problem and can give you a bit of input.

Or perhaps @OntarioKnifeCompany or @Toooj can help out out.

I have three of the RAT 3 knives and haven't experienced what you have mentioned so I not much help to you.
 
It will loosen up a little bit with use. Try gripping the handle with your thumb on the sheath and push down with your thumb as you pull up with your hand. The knife will release .
