I have a 3", D2 Dozier that I bought years ago from AG Russell. Any reason to get a RAT 3? How do they match up?

Reason? I think the Dozier is a better knife. Get the RAT-3 cause you want one. I have been considering getting a RAT 3 or 4; just because. I hardly need one.

Very different knives, made for different purposese. Doziers are slicers and skinners. They are made to cut flesh. The Rats are survival type. They are tougher, but not such slicers.

if you get a "3" get the RAT cutlery RC-3, not the Ont. R.A.T.-3, much better quality, outstanding warranty, flat grind, 40 deg. inclusive edge (20 deg. each side) I cant see why an RC-3 cant perform as a slicer and a skinner darn good knife and the sheath rocks!
