I am wondering if anyone has an opinion that they think one of these knives stands out as being better than the others and for what reason. They seem to have similar designs and are priced pretty closely. Any thoughts?

I have a Scrapper 6,as well as a Ranger RD7(recurve)-and have owed a Rat 7.

If possible try to see what fits your hand the best "before" you order one.

They are much different in how they feel as well as cut.

You can have the Ranger made to your specs--and I would choose that Brand over the others.

Thanks for the reply. Also, how do the sheaths compare, and does the scrapper-6 even come with one? -Thanks.

I have a Scrapper 6 and an RD6; I prefer the Scrapper 6's Res-C handle over micarta. It is much more comfortable for ME, in chopping. However, who knows when the Scrapper 6 is going to be in stock again. Justin is GREAT to deal with! Ranger knives ARE excellent knives!! You can not go wrong with them.

I have a RAT-7 and really like it. I think any of these knives would be good just depends on your preference and which is most comfortable. On sheaths the RAT7 sheath is very nice and comfortable and holds the knife in place very well. I cant speak for the others but i've heard problems with the RD line sheaths, like slipping out when turned upside down.
