Does anyone have a side by side pic of these two knives? I want to see the handle lengths.

thanks..

Here's the pic, just quoted in:

Top knife is RAT-7, bottom is RC-6.

I have and use both of these knives. So far, I can't complain about either one. However, I probably use my Izula more than any of my ESEE's.

I've only held the rat-7 - felt very well balanced. Does the RC-6 feel as well balanced? I'm assuming from the pic's the handles are about the same?

The RC/ESEE-6 is a little shorter, has more distal taper towards the tip, so it's not quite as blade heavy.

Neither one is what I'd call a chopper, so IMO for more cutting and slicing tasks, I think the ESEE-6 handles better, and feels a bit more lively in hand.

i've got both knives, the handles feel almost identical, the esee feeling slightly better simply from the fit and finish, the rat7 can give you some hot spots after doing alot of work the esee dosn't. the rat is more blade heavy the esee is lighter and faster in the hand. either will do just about anything you want.

the biggest difference in the two knives is the better finish and fit of the esee, but the most useful difference is the sheath from esee, it makes the knife much more versital and useful. add the pouch and molle back and its the best i've ever used.

take it easy
