So against all hopes I'm asking this.

Are the RAT guys going to be at the Dutch Knife Exposition in November?

I'm saving my pennies for that and I'd love to buy an Izula or RC3 there from the men themselves.

Wished we were but I didn't even know that show existed. Maybe it's something we will do in the future though since we've never been there and I hear you have some good beer and fine women?

LX, How about sharing more information about this Dutch show? Location, dates, number of tables, custom or production, contact information, website?

Thanks,
Side Hill

Also, how many women, how many different types of beer, how many women and how many women :D

Jeff, I let the Dutch ladies know you were coming. Hope you don"t mind.:D

Jeff,

Seems like I was just recently reading back on the Glock Alternate thread...wasn't here some mention of a girlfriend that carries a Glock 21? Several friendly points to consider:
1. I don't know anything about Dutch Immigration laws, but I assume you would want to get back into the USA someday . Maybe a covert re-entry through the Port of Miami (Inspector Miami...if you are reading this - come on, you know what kidders we all are! ;)).
2. Does Ms. Glock 21 know Mrs. Shotgunner? Again, this is just a observation from the past weeks postings, but this could seriously complicate any chance you might have of enjoying any fine beers for long time.
3. Let the Dutch knife fans fend for themselves (the unrelated fact that this would leave more R.C. knives for the U.S.A. has little to do with this  - We are just trying to save you from bodily harm!)

Oh what the hell...you are going to do just what you are going to do! :)

Soooooo.........apparently knowing me can complicate your eternal quest for enjoyment?

It'll be a small show. It's only the third edition this year that's probably why you haven't heard of it.

It'll be in a small city called Tiel for the second time in a row. It's just for one day I was misstaken bytheway it's not in November it's in October, on the 24th.

Location: “Restaurant de Betuwe”

Hoogkellenseweg 7

4004 JB Tiel
The Netherlands

Entryprice: 5 euro's.

Some work from last year's show: http://www.dkeshow.nl/impressies.html

Google Translate of the page

(this is also the shows webpage) It's fairly small but some awesome custommakers come from France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

We could use representation from some of the finer production companies like RAT.

(besides....might give us a chance to buy RAT's at normal prices, an Izula costs 64 euro's over here (around $90 against current rates) and that's without shipping.)

Anyway we'd love to have you over. Maybe next year.

As for women...google "Doutzen Kroes" for a prime specimen.

And beer good lord the beer. I don't drink the stuff personally other than maybe belgium I don't think you'll find a bigger selection anywhere than in the netherlands.

Don't be misled by the extremes of the women spectrum in NL. Sugar Lee Hooper and Karin Bloemen also come to mind as counterparts of Doutzen ;)

Btw, does RAT already have a representative in the Netherlands?

I ordered an RC4 in december last year. Perfect no nonsense knife. I use it outdoor, although not many campers here are used to black fixed blades. Combined with some lunatics slicing people here now and then gives fellow campers enough reason to consider me the usual suspect, so to speak.

Anyway, great knife, a lot cheaper imported from the states, saved me approx. 30 euros, even after I had to pay € 20 taxes.....

Hallo,

Heb je even een berichtje op je profielpagina achtergelaten.(hoop dat je nederlands bent...:D)

Yeah, that bothers me as well. Someone over here claiming to have the RAT exclusive....and then pricing it up so far that it's still cheaper to order from the states.
