Rat coating and food

nothing to worry about , I have used my Izula ,RC3,RC4,RC6 for food prep & cooking at home & out in the field.....never gave it a second thought.

It's food safe and also the coating prevent for spoiling some food, like naked carbon steel blade can with some vegetables.
(try this at home: cut some salad with a SS and non SS blade and see... the salade cut by the naked carbon blade will be black in 10 minutes. The other in 4 hours ! A trick known by every cooking brigade... With a coated blade, the contact with the metal seems less important, only the edge...) My 9 inches chef knife is a VG-10 IKEA blade and it's just great !

Now with frozen chiken the RC3 rocks!

I don't know it as a scientific fact, But I also have used my RC3 and Izula for all kind of food prep with no problems thus far.

Good to know, but more than likely the coating from my knife is probably not the worse thing I have ate.

I am really glad it's safe because I use my RC-3 and Izula for food prep all the time. Although to be honest I would expect nothing less from those over at RAT.
