Recommendation? Rat color - Does the black paint holds?

hey, I want to but the Rat 2 2D and I’ve wanted to know is the red paint on the blade and the clip will hold even after abusing him a bit.

And also, which color do you think is the sexiest?

No paint on a blade holds up. If you use a coated blade it will eventually get scratched and scuffed.
You'd be better off with the satin blade.

Pink RATs are by far the sexiest.

The Rats' coating stinks cuz it's not DLC or Cerakote. Don't be bothered by this though. Buy it, use it...abuse it even. Give it tha bizzness!

The DLC coating to my Kabar Dozier looks very similar. What sucked is I got a chip in the coating the first time I cut cardboard. It has since earned the rest the proper way.

No blade coating will survive hard use or abuse.

Tomopill, no coating holds up with much use. Blades get scratched with use. It is not a big deal really. I personally don't care for painted blades. Buy yourself a couple knives that catch your fancy.... enjoy, try them out, cut something..... Just be ready to buy some more if you like knives.
