Hey fellas hows it going? Just picked up another RAT; a RC-4 special edition! I will post pics as soon as I can. I just had a quick question for those of you who have large tek-loks lying around: are RAT's kydex sheaths compatible with tek-loks or not? I attach my RC-3 to my belt via paracord, but I'm thinking about buying a tek-lok if they fit...

Thanks for any help!

I've connected a large Tek Lok to a RC4 kydex. You can do vertical or horizontal, and even 45 degree angle I think.

And what's the RC4 Special Edition?

May I ask what is a Special edition ,... I assume you purchased it from eBay if your calling it a Special Edtion ...

Sorry,I got redirected....
The TAN RC4 Is not a Special Edtion , every RAT Cutlery Vendor sales them... Nothing special about the tan version..

When we originally did the DT knives we called them a Special Edition since we didn't plan on making it a permanent addition to the line. Obviously that changed but we never updated the web site. I assume that's where Chestnut Ridge got that info.

How goes it Bro. How was your trip down unda? Did the Chopweiler serve you well?

Yes, the RAT sheaths are set up for a large Tek-lok.

Hey Shotgunner! The Chopweiler is serving me very well. Couldn't take it down to Oz because of their strict laws regarding weaponry, especially firearms :grumpy: However, I have taken it to a couple of bonfires and fishing trips and the boys are certainly impressed with its performance. I gave it a quick sharpen & strop and it batons through logs like butter without that crinkle coat.

I did however take down a small Benchmade, and thank god I did. I was on about a 5 mile hike (8 k's if your an Aussie maaaate) and I came across this sign that said "caution, wild dog trapping in progress, proceed at your own risk" The only reason I didn't soil myself was because I had that little blade in my pocket. While it might only be a 3'' blade, it was razor sharp. Either way it was good to step out of my comfort zone. Ok well sorry to hi-jack my own thread, and thanks for those who helped me with my tek-lok dilemma.
