I am really excited. I just ordered my first RAT Cutlery knife. I got the OD RC-5. I spend a lot of time at my cabin in the San Juan mountains in southern Colorado and really put knives through the wringer. I have heard so many good things about RAT and since I only buy USA knives I had to give it a try. My old stand by is a BRKT Fox River but I am hoping to have this by the 4th so I can use it in the South San Juan wilderness area on an overnight trek.

You will not be dissapointed,Rat makes awesome knives!Their RC5 is the shit, nicknamed the Tank, for good reason.

Yes... "The Tank" will serve you well.

I'm curious.. Are you saying that you have ordered it & it may take 3-4 weeks to get?

As soon as you put the knife in your hands, you can feel how SOLID this knife is. Its put together very well and is virtually indestructible.

I ordered it and it is in stock. The 4th is a lot farther away than I was thinking! Glad to hear it is a work horse.

I handled one at Blade...should have bought it. Got an izula though, which is very nice and is signed by the founders of RAT

You were right. As soon as I opened the box and pulled out RC-5 #0539 I was in love.

Is it the RC-5 ES SS that you have - or have on order?

I found it listed at 'Two Wolfs' and decided to give one a try. It was too painless - just keystrokes - hope they are a decent source to deal with - and that I get it soon. It looks like a 'poor man's Busse'. I have a friend who shows me his unreal Busse's - good grief what knives! Of course, this is 'mere' 1095 - and only .25" thick. Seriously, please give me more feedback, please. What I ordered was an OD plain blade/black sheath.

I love my BRK&Ts, but I just can't find another one I want as badly right now as I do the RC5.

Your going to love it!

I've beaten mine like a red headed stepchild and it just laughs it off.

And honestly, it's purty too. The shape of the handle, sharpened pommel and triangular lanyard hole....well, Busse's got nuttin' on the RC-5 in the looks arena as far as I'm concerned.

Two Wolves are great people and a pleasure to deal with, you won't be disappointed.

Watch out for the Grizzly Bears. :D

I've got an RC-5 and it has stood up to the test of the Colorado Rockies. Great knife!

Honestly i like the RC-5 better then a Busse. I just can't bring my self to work a $300 or more knife hard it's a mental thing i think. The RC-5 i don't think twice about it is a tough knife. I really have hard time thinking i will need more of a knife.

Ken, I ordered mine from Two wolves last Sunday and received it on Wednesday. Very fast shipping. My first dealings with them and will buy again.
