Rat Daddy availabilty?

i am thinking about ordering a rat daddy upon my return from canada, but i don't see it listed on any of SRKW's sites. anyone got any input on the availability of this fine ass blade?

PS- if you don't tell me, i may just have to order a fusion battle mistress... :foot:
 
I'm pretty sure they were a limited run for Blade and the leftovers got sold through the company store and are all gone now, every once in a while you may see some come up for sale in the exchange forums.

Keep your eyes to the exchange for this one Hank. You may not have much choice as to "when" you pick one up. They're few and far between, but they do come up once in a while. :thumbup:

You have received good advice, they were limited, available at Blade Show 2005 and then for a while at the Swamp Rat Company Store. We have no plans to make anymore. Keep your eyes open on the for sale forums, ebay, etc. Good luck

i just figured that with the Ratweiler being "at the center of the new Swamp Rat Tactical (SRT) line", it would stand to reason that the Rat Daddy would be at the top, and in production like the Ratweiler.

don't get me wrong, i just received my Ratweiler today, and i am already very much in love with it. i just thought it would follow along the lines of the battle rat, camp tramp, etc, and the SRT line would be a full fledged production line of knives.

do you know if there is a plan to finish out the SRT line, and make a production daddy and baby to the Ratweiler?

ETA: i will DEFINITELY keep an eye all around the net for a Rat Daddy if there is no production run planned for the large end of the SRT line. but then again, there is the Fusion Battle Mistress coming up. :foot:
 
Actually the Rat Daddy is much larger than the one pictured at the top here:

The Tactical Battle Rat (or whatever it gets called) is about an inch or so shorter than the Rat Daddy and is still supposed to make it into full production. When, I don't know.

As far as your decision to get a Rat Daddy or FBM, you really can't go wrong with either! :thumbup:

Ah ha! Thanks for clearing that up, homey. If SRKW is still planning on putting 'king size' knife into production, i may wait out for it.

But damn, that FBM is GORGEOUS!
