Just got her in today. Had to chase down the mailman! The first thing I noticed when holding it is how insanely light and fast it feels in hand. Its only roughly 22 ounces despite being 10.5 inches. Its even lighter than my Junglas which is slightly heavier even though its 3/16 thick and has almost the same blade length. This is a really special blade, Ive never held anything that feels so fast and well balanced. Compared to the dogfather it feels much quicker but I think the DF will still outchop it due to its extreme forward weight. Wish I had a Battle Mistress to compare it to. Anyways enough talking here are some pics!

Here's a comparison pic. Its just a hair longer than the Junglas and a good bit longer than the DF while it dwarfs the M9

That Rat Daddy is the greatest Swamp Rat blade produced.....except for maybe the Satin Battle Rat......but 2 different styles and both equally awesome!!! Congrats on it, they don't come up for sale often!!!!
 
That is one beautiful knife. Will look even better when it's used like the DF. Nice...
 
Ok I just went out and used it. This is the best chopper Ive ever handled. It outchopped even the Dogfather. Im not sure if its the Full height grind or what but the Rat Daddy bites deeper than any chopper Ive ever used. It bites machete deep. Its so fast and so light and bites like its starving. No fatigue at all and no noticeable shock like ive had with bigger busse blades like the KZ II.

I have never been more impressed with a blade! The Rat Daddy is a born user, not a wall hanger.


I tried to take a video of me breaking it in but my camera is on the fritz and cut off the recordings after a few seconds. I got a few pics though. Sorry for the shirtless-ness, I was so excited I forgot to throw on a Tee.

Wow Kal, love the score brother!! :thumbup: Gotta tell you though I've never seen a better looking M9 either. Lovin that black/tan g10, am I correct?
