Thought I'd start a new thread for this one, since there's new pics ;)

I finally got around to completing the last stage of the Rat Daddy makeover --- a new sheath. Here's a few pics:

Overall, I'm well pleased. This was my "beater" truck knife before, now I have enough time and emotional energy invested that I may need to re-think it's position in the herd. Obviously, now that I've devalued it for resale, but increased it's "personal" value to me, it's a keeper

That really, REALLY looks good! Very impressed!! Make the sheath yourself?

yeah, made the sheath, this one is one of my "cleanest" sheaths so far... (i still make a few mistakes, but seem to be getting better each time. The problem is I am running out of knives to sheath, so I don't get enough practice!)

Man, Eli!! Great job on that sheath! That is an INCREDIBLY clean job. I like the design, too.

Exactly what I was thinking before I saw this post, very clean work! Only thing I'd do, and its personal preference, is stitch down the top and bottom crowns.

I see your work improving by leaps and bounds bro, very impressive. Wanna come work for/with me? :D

kinda serious here, I NEED help. :o

Dwayne, LOL, somebody said they like the design... Everytime I get ready to make a dangler sheath, I pull out the RW sheath you did for me and copy it's lines!

I was wondering when someone would notice that I FORGOT to stitch the crowns! The wife was waiting for me to take her to dinner and I thought, if I go ahead and glue this now, I can drill the holes when we get back --- didn't notice until I got back that I forgot a step... LOL

Hopefully i got plenty of glue in there to hold it together!

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I only make these to last until I can get some of Dwayne's sheaths  Still looking to get a dundee rig for a Mofo, maybe a little art carving :D

I will not be able to let my Rat Daddy near this computer screen with such a fine blade exposed. Hell, I can barely get him to knock the mud off his blade when he comes in the house! That's my boy.

That is a simply stunning combo. You did a fantastic job Eli, on both the knife and the sheath.

You guys are making me blush :D

Now I'm trying to decide whether to try and find a Safari Skinner or a Ratmandu to make a match for this one...

Can EVERYONE make a sheath except for me???

This summer, I'm getting serious about sheaths. :D

Nice work, xaman.
