Morning all. Question for Jeff and Mike or anyone who knows the answer to this. Will the designs on the blades change? Like will the triangle "Randall's Adventure Training" change to something like ESEE? If so when will these blades with new designs be released? Any idea what they are going to look like and if the price is going to go up on them? Im guessing that the online dealerships will sell all the old blades before starting to stock the new ones? Will they still be called RC3, RC4 etc or will it be ESEE3, ESEE4?

The RC-5 already has the new logo. Could be others to I didn't look, and the Junglas and light machete have the new logo as well. I'm guessing as inventory sells out all the new stuff will have the new logo.

I don't mean to speak for them, but Jeff answered that very question in his initial announcement post.....as I recall it, nothing about the knives will change except for the name , logos, etc......or words to that effect.

Yes, all the engraving as well as the names of some of the knives have changed. You'll see the new ESEE logo on 3, 4 and 6, the Izula knives logo on some and the skull logo on others.

The "RC" in the names is being replaced with "ESEE", example ESEE-3, ESEE-4..... and so on.

The changeover is being made as we speak, no new "RC" branded blades are being made. All the current production is being done with the new logos and branding.

I don't know how long it'll take to see the new stuff on dealer shelves.

The prices have gone up but no more than usual, a buck or two here or there like they do every year or so.
I stand corrected, there is no price increase. Sorry about that.

I just ordered a RC-4 ... I wonder if it'll have the new or old logo. I'm sure it'll cut the same either way!

the new logo are down the road about on the 3,4,6 ETC 99% you'll get the old RC logo until all that stock is sold out....

Again, I think some folks are getting things confused. The Izula will have the same logo it has always had (ant). The RC-5 will have the same logo it has always had (crossed knives w/ skull). The 3, 4 and 6 will change to the logo shown beside by user name above. All these knives are the SAME price as last year. No price increase.

As for those asking about the crossed knives and skull and thinking that it's meant as a tough guuy logo, well, that's wrong also. The skull has long represented some units E&E training, in other words, if you don't know how you will end up dead. That's where that logo comes from. Not from some wannabe tough guy thing. We will be using that logo on the 5, the Junglas, the Lite Machete and the Fire Kit since all of those fall into more of our "survival" series of gear.

So Basically ESEE is broken down like this:

1) ESEE Knives which is a our standard line (3, 4 and 6)
2) Survival Line (Junglas, the 5, and the Lite Machete)
3) Izula Line (Izula knife, Arrowhead and some coming products in this line)

All the above come under the header of Randall's Adventure & Training ESEE Knives.

The real question...is when I can get me one of the ESEE backpacks?!?! Can't wait!
