Given the limited availability and long wait time on most Rats, I was wondering if anyone else out there would be interested in starting a Rat Exchange program. My funds are limited and hunting down and buying that special Rat or Rats can get expensive, then I sell that one to afford a different one, only to get it in hand and find out that I liked the other one better. Anyway, what I propose it let's share our Rats, kind of like a passaround.
Ex. I've got a Rat Hunter, Bandicoot, and Rat Shaker I (3/16") at the moment. I'm thinking that I might like a SAR Rat or something longer instead of the Hunter or Bandicoot. Maybe someone out there with a SAR, Safari Skinner, Dog Skinner, or Desert Jack is thinking that maybe they'd might like a Rat Hunter or Bandicoot.
I'd be willing to temporarily loan them my knife if they'd be willing to do the same. We both ship priority mail on our own dime and work out the details of whether or not the other can use the blade and how hard. If both parties want to trade, fine, if not after an agreed upon time we both return the blades.
If I like your blade and you don't want to trade, no problem and vice versa. Now I know what more about the blade in question, how much I like it and what I'm willing to pay for it.
I've got a Hunter and Bandicoot if anyone wants to try them out. Not really willing to entrust the US Postal service with the 3/16" RS. Would consider a face to face if you've got something good.
