Well in light of the upcoming new release and the arrival of the RMDeux LE I figured it was time for a family photo. Been meaning to do this for a while but finally have the house to myself so I can avoid those weird looks from the wife :D

I used to have the Battle Rat (that for some reason I thought I got from you, maybe not) anyway had to sell it off (regrettably) . I have 2 Scrapyards currently and a B11 but kept this one just my Swamprats. As for the Taz Rat, I like it, sweet blade. Originally I got it because I really wanted a 7 inch user and (flame on for this one) my Weiler I wanted to keep clean, anyway scored the Taz rat then stumbled onto the Camp Tramp which I plan on using.

Nice Rat family bro! That Gen 1 Ratweiler looks pristine

yeah she is in good shape, that is killing me. I would like to buy myself a user one of these days to hold me over til Swamprat finally gets around to doing a Retro Series and releases it again :D

I really need to get my hands on a SAR Rat now, just missed a smoking deal on a Rat Daddy but the SAR is the one I really want

Nice collection SB! I thought you were heading to the mountains this weekend? You're down to 2 Scrap Yards these days, huh? Do you still have your DFLE? As I mentioned in another thread, mine is gone now, but the trade off was that I have that M9 now! In general, I think I like the Swamp Rat's handles better.

Wish I would have ordered a sage/blk paper HRLM with my RMD.

Wish I would have tried out that Waki at the campout.

Hope you are going to use the Mastiff and bring it this spring.

Your daughter rocks!

The SAR Rat is an excellent knife! However, for just a little more $$$ you can get yourself a Desert Jack. They are VERY close in size, but the Desert Jack is differentially treated  IMHO, the Desert Jack is just as special as the old school Rat Mastiff. The ergos on the Mastiff are great for chopping...not so much for the finer tasks (IMHO of course). However, the Desert Jack can accomplish everything else that the Rat Mastiff can't! I used to have ALL of the old school blades, but I have sold them all except for the Mastiff and Jack. I even had a SHSJ but sold that because I felt the Desert Jack was a better knife (hog blasphemy...I know:foot:). There is a Desert Jack up on the FOR SALE forum right now, and if I don't see much that I like at Easton I really might have to pull the trigger!

Either way bro, I will keep my eyes open for you regarding the SAR Rat

Those old schools rock. A Rat Hunter, Dog Skinner or Desert Jack would be fantastic!

Love those handles...

Had a SAR for minute. The handle was great, but it was a little too thick for me.

I appreciate it, yeah desert jack is on my list as well, I am just partial to 4 inch blades but would love to get all of them eventually

of course I will bring it along with others.... thanks for the compliment on my daughter, you have one in training, dude when she is old enough she will be camping with you playing with knives, no better feeling bro

The SAR is a great knife. It feels a little handle heavy though. I bought mine to keep in my turnout gear, but can't bring myself to use it and mar the urban camo finish. My Ratweiler, however, has been beat to hell and back and just begs for more!

SB what is the handle material on your Crash Rat?
Is it G 10 or paper micarta?
