RAT Family PSK.
For those of us just joining us, my daily PSK Swiss Bag was stolen from me a while back. I came on the RAT forum to vent about it and voice how pissed I was about losing not only a bunch of my regauler PSK stuff, but also my tan RC-4. Before i knew it, I had a bunch of great people in here sending me all sorts of PSK gear, everything from medical supplies to new knives. I can't express how much I appreciate everyone replennishing my gear bag and how much it means to me to know that there are still people in the world that are genuinely selfless and generous people. The "RAT Pack" is certainly some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Even though most of us only talk on here and only meet each other maybe once a year if that, I concider all of them family and good friends. This pack is more than just a gaggle of awesome gear. It's a testiment to the level of people that RAT customers and staff are. You guys are all wonderful. Thanks again to everyone that helped me out when I needed it. As most of you know, I'm a pretty humble person who doesn't like to ask for help and you guys jumped in and did it anyways (some said "whether I like it or not" lol). Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone I haven't met at the Blade Show and our Friday night dinner. Now onto the RAT Family PSK!

Luckily, I discovered a couple of small items I had packed in the wifes "car bag" the last time we took a trip, just some shampoo, mouthwash, etc. containers, sunscreen, etc. Other than that, every single thing in here was donated by somebody. Everytime I open this bag, I still gaze in amazement. Sorry for the picture size. I haven't scaled them down yet.

The bag itself

Front outside flap pocket

It contains a couple of pieces of ger I use often.
Wet Ones
Hand Sanitizer
Chap Stick
SwissGear Flashlight
Loud ass whistle
and of course, a RAT Cutlery RC-4. Normally this RC-4 is on my side every single day, but if I'm going to be carrying this bag, I'll just throw it in the front pocket.

Rear Outside Pocket

This contains two small notepads to jot stuff down in.

This pocket also has a flashlight, and LED light that I purchased for the second time after my first got stolen. I really like this flashlight. Luckily it's still available. It also has a fishing kit and some everyday liquids like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc in small squeeze bottles.

This pocket has some toilet paper and a couple of batteries for my hat clip flashlight.

This pocket has some panchos, a snuggle bag thing, emergency blanket, sunscreen, and a signal mirror.

Inside Middle Pocket

This pocket contains two QuikClot sponges, the "Oh F@$% Kit", some fishing bait, the "Oh S@#$ Kit #2" (replaced the original "Oh S@#$ Kit" that got stolen), a pack of Wet Ones, and some bug repellant.

The "Oh F@#$ Kit" has a bunch of "serious ingury" gear in it. This I didn't bother to open and dump out for pictures just cause is such a pain to get everything back in it in the order I like.

This pocket hold most of the "small" gear since it has several small pockets that keeps everything in order.
a few light sticks and the instructions for the Ranger compass

a couple of pens
Leatherman multitool
Rat Model 1 folder
three small LED lights
Ranger compass
water purification tabs
a piece of fatwood
a LMF Army firesteel and homemade striker knife
a RAT Cutlery fire awesomeness
a small pill bottle
a roll of electrical tape
and a SAK

The RAT firesteel is filled and fatwood shavings, a cotton ball, and a small compass

There is also
another emergency blanket (I've got a wife. That means I have to pack twice as much stuff all the time)
a bic lighter wrapped in sillyfane
another small pill bottle
a Trekker OHT
which has a p-38 attached
The other two items in this picture are the compass with whistle that I always carry in my jacket and my keys, which has a small prybar and compass/thermometer on it.

Alright guys. That's it, the almighty RAT Family PSK. There were a few items left over that I packed into the wife's glovebox in her car.

Now something special for TexasTonyDobbs. Here's a close up of what I did to the scales on the RC-4 you sent me. These grooves are just deep enough to give great purchase when soaked with just about anything, but not enough to raise blisters after an hour of use.

All in all, I think I spent 20 bucks buying stuff that people didn't send me that I originally had in my first kit. Thanks again guys.

Looks great D, glad to see the kit back together! Everything found its place in the Vic bag quite nicely. Of course now I see a few things I need to add to my bag that I hadnt thought of.... :)

Simply awesome! I found out about this pretty much after the fact but I thinks it's great... friends helping a friend. The generosity of the American people is one of the greatest attributes our nation has.

It looks like you're back in good shape Dylside. Thanks for posting the pics.

Looks like you are back in action! The great people of RAT pack have set you up well. Thanks for the pics

I think it's awesome the way all of you came to dylside aid. I am a big rat fan having a 3 and a 4( with a5or6 and an izula down the road). I am proud to be in this forum with all of you(especially Rat family) Somewhere down the road all of you will be paid back 10 fold.

Nice kit!

What did you do to get those grooves? Dremel? I thought about doing that to some of my personal knives before but not sure how to.
