My RC-6 just arrived from a deal with Sabre77 and I have to say I am impressed. It is of a size with the PAL RH-36 (slightly larger) that was my "knife" (one of 2 knives that I that I thought of in the singular vs. the plural) growing up. Finally a RAT grip that fits my hand. Good balance and weight to manage fine work, but still enough chopping ability in a pinch. It is a knife that I can see using for years. I don't really see any downsides to this blade. I have an RC-4 and I can say I always thought of it as a good blade that never quite fit, but the RAT RC-6 has made me a RAT fan.

I really like the 6... it is one of my favorites in the line. The choil is a little bigger and feels just right. Glad to hear you like it! Welcome to the fold!!

I bought the six to be the last knife I ever needed. It was, and while it didn't stop me from buying many more....Most everything sits and the six goes on the pack. I'm planning a hike next week, and intend to take my Junglas. I've having a hell of a time keeping my six out of my load-out. I keep putting it back on the shelf, and it just jumps back into my gear. I'm going to have to leave it home or I'll never test out the junglas properly.

It seems as if the 6 would be the most useful(read: multi-purpose) knife to bring with you in the woods. There seem to be some pretty good deals out there right now too...

Wherever you get your RC-6, it's a lot of bang for your buck. I'm just waiting for some good opportunities to try it out.:D

I love that the 6 fits right in my hip belt on my northface el lobo 65. I never go backpacking with out it and the izula.
