RAT folder in the future?

If this has been covered a lot, I will take my beatings with pride, but....

Unless I was hopped up on leftover halloween candy, it seems like I read Jeff saying something to the effect of "I don't carry a RAT all the time, I always carry a folder. When we make our folder, then I'll carry that..."

So is RAT working on a folder in one form or another? If so, what will be the main features? Hard use folder or something more intended for EDC, etc.?

Let me look into my crystal bawls...

hmmm...

Yes. Your beatings are on their way.

Seriously though, RAT Cutlery has a lot of things they would like to produce and as long as Jeff, Mike, Shon and all the others involved with RAT Cutlery are around, there will be new products designed and manufactured. The RAT Folder is one of the ideas that is in the works. Now through observation I've learned a very important tool for determining how "active" a new design is for RAT Cutlery. This tool is the photo. Every project that they are working on is "on the back burner" until we see a photo. When they are brought up to "active status", that is when you start hearing concrete info from RAT and we get a sneak preview photo. With damn near everything they've made, a photo has been posted to show that is actively being designed. Until you see one, there is no need to even inquire as to whether or not it is in the works. Just assume that it is still in the idea phase. I'd be willing to bet that this will be true of pretty much everything that RAT Cutlery will ever create. Until we see a photo, no need to even ask. The answer we will get is "it's on the back burner, but we do intend to do it". Just trust that they pay attention to us. They know what practical tools we want. They will deliver. All in good time.

Why do I see a seven month thread of a rodent folding minature clothes at the GAP or soemthing now?

I'm not expecting one by Christmas or anything like that. :D I was more curious about if there was a concept or a basic idea for one i.e. an Izula style folder that's lightweight for EDC or something with some more meat like a larger folder with G10 or Micarta scales that would match the styling and use of the rest of the RATs. Know'm sayin'?

Jeff,

How about a RAT Pack folder with our RAT Pack number on it. I just came up with this idea. What do you think? :D

I just had to.

Ontario has a RAT folder... wonder if this new version will be much different.

I would bet the only similarities will be that it folds and has some kind of lock. Come on Jeff, don't leave me hangin'. I know you're just sitting there cussing us! :D
