Just got my first RAT or ESEE in the mail today. Got myself a HEST!
:D
I have to say, I am very happy with this knife so far, and I can't wait to put it through some hard use!
BTW, how does the length of the HEST compaire to that of the Izula? I originally thought of using the HEST as an EDC, but for a supermarket run it might be just a little too cumbersome.

I find the Izula is a little more appropriate for EDC becuase of its smaller size. I love them both but it is so easy to slip the Izula in a pocket. Not that the H.E.S.T is big and it is a great knife. Enjoy your purchase. I can see you will have a Izula soon, welcome to the RAT/ESEE addiction. If the picutre of the entire RAT/ESEE family made you go for your credit card, you are hooked.

In random order: the izula is just great to edc

having the whole lineup rocks. Lots and lots of overtime.

I wanted the linen scales on the rc5 actually. Was looking to match the whole line. It's not a perfect fit, but close enough. ( we're talking thosands of inches) I'll probably swap back, the linen is too pretty for this bruiser.

Mist- the rc5 rocks house. You'll love it

I have no idea why this would be overly large or difficult for a daily carry. An RC3 is a very easy carry and it is a larger knife. I'll bet if you just carry the HEST daily, you'll forget it is there when not using it, and will make the daily use very simple and discreet.

Funny, I just got my first RAT knife today too, and it's also a H.E.S.T.
Such a nice blade, only problem is now i have my eye on all the other RATs.
