RAT in Smokey Mountain Knife

For all the folks asking and wanting....RAT Cutlery knives are now stocked in Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Sevierville, TN. out on Hwy 66. Thanks to all the RAT fans who walked into Smokey asking for RAT Cutlery. The sales personnel said they are glad to say they have it now Anyway if you are out their way on the way to the Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, et al, stop in and see the 'World's Largest Knife Showroom" . There is a lot to see including a Knife Museum and probably more stuffed animals hanging on the walls than exist in the wild As you go into the front door and by the cashiers and into the main showroom you will see RAT Cutlery in the first showcase on the left right up front. Ask for Bill or Larry. Mike

Being dirty old men can go hand-in-hand with making great knives. Tits, helicopters, and bacon do not harm your image when it comes to your "target audience".

True, I figure our customers are probably a lot worse than we are. In fact, a lot of the folks who really use our knives are some pretty rough characters.

Guns, knives, choppers (both kinds), women, rock & roll, good alcohol and a damn good dog. Life doesn't get any better!

Yes they are! I watch Steve Koontz on the SMKW knife show on Direct TV every so often just to chuckle at his old redneck self up there on camera. That'd be like putting me on camera. You'd need a translator for all those living north.

Not sure what channel. Been a while since I watched it. I think it only comes on one night a week. For a couple of hours. I rarely, if ever, watch TV but every so often I will scan though to see if some gal's taking her clothes off or if someone's dying in some remote part of the world and I'll see it when I scan though.

"The show airs on DirectTV Channel 225 from 8-11 p.m. on Monday and 7-11 p.m. on Friday and Dish Network Channel 217 from 8-11 p.m. Monday and 7-11 p.m. Friday." :thumbup:


I saw part of a show once at a friend's place (immediately enthralled...). For the few minutes I did watch it, I remember my brain going into "stop, rewind, play that back" mode so I could catch some of the more spirited discussions/comments :thumbup:

The Knives Live show is a fun watch. Steve, Tony and Jay are hilarious at times. I'm born and raised in the south so I can relate to the humor.
Some good info from some good 'ol boys.

They spoke often about the customs issue when it first came up and offered an example letter also. I'd bet quite a few folks that are not familiar with BF found out about it from them.
