Anybody have both and can compare?

I like the pics of both. I think I like the overall shape of the RAT better from the pics but the convex edge and stainless aspect of the Bravo is more appealing to me.

Be interested to hear from anyone comparing the two.

IMO, the Izula is a better knife. The Bravo is a little too small, and the blade on mine doesnt seem as sturdy as the Izula. The rounded profile of the Izula makes a more comfy handle in hand.

The Bravos edge is better, but while screamin sharp, it rolls pretty easy.

Just what I have noticed about the 2.

And if stainless is an issue for you, there's also the TOPS Shango. I have both it and the Izula (and EDC both) and it's a fantastic knife. Slightly longer handle than other similar knives. :)

ETA:
Since TOPS is image-stingy here's a couple of personal pics of mine. :p

It's a REALLY sweet little number. One of my most frequently used knives at this point. Most TOPS knives aren't to my liking (sharpened crowbars) but Mr. Joezilla knows his way around knife design. :)

i meant because they wont show a "hotlink" of their image. :)

but yes the Shango by Joe is pretty awesome!

I got you.

I think that whole anti hotlinking thing is ridiculous considering the prices of their knives and the fact that most hotlinking is done when people are considering buying one!

I've always thought their Field Survival blade or whatever it's called is a nice design but too thick.

I'm confused by the hotlinking comment--can you not see the image? I see it just fine.

Never mind, now I see it.

when i was looking at neckers i didnt know about the beckers, and the bravo necker wasnt around....so i bought an Izula (had it returned for various financial/principal reasons), i partly bought it because of RATs outstanding customer service and i liked the design well enough. all in all i ended up getting a gossman PSK Jr :)

Don't forget about the Swamp Warden, better steel IMO, than both others you mentioned !

The Izula is my favorite little blade. I use it everyday, and it hasn't failed me since I have started using it. The Bravo, I haven't handled, though.

I like the looks of those Shangos....I would like to score one sometime. The SW, and Busse GW are great offerings, but IMO the choil is too much on em. Ive tried to like them, but ended up selling them both....plus the price tag on the busse is dang near Charles May prices!!

For price, you just cant beat an Izula.

lately my Gossman PSK has been gettin all the love...Which IMO, is the best fixed blade in this size range

Now w/o cordwrap, with apple cider patina, and with a new tactical ducttape kydex sheath

And don't forget Bryan Breeden who makes an excellent neck knife (the top one)

although I don't think he promotes it as such. Coupled with a kydex (this one has an OST kydex), it is excellent.

I think it's his K.A.T. model. I scored it off some rube......, oops..... sorry kgd :o, I mean a fellow forum member and gentleman, who didn't quite see its potential. :D

Doc

I own the Izula and I like it quite a bit. It is one of those knives that is quite simple on its face but really is more than the sum of it's parts. The size is perfect, the shape is just right, the handle is just enough, and the sheath works... all of that adds up to a real dandy.

I might also suggest the Fehrman Thru Hiker, a little more than the Izula but for 112.00 it fits my hand like a glove, it has the toughness of 3V and is razor sharp
