RAT knife mentioned in book

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but a search indicated that it hasn't. I just received and started reading my copy of a book by Neil Strauss titled "Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life". Before I got to the end of the prologue, I read the following line:

I was wearing an olive baseball cap, a matching army shirt, khaki cargo pants, and a gun belt with a Springfield Armory XD nine-millimeter on one side and a three-inch RAT knife on the other.

Cool! I was watching the news at the gym the other day and they were doing a special on the illegal drug trades. They showed a quick shot of a LEO cutting down a bunch of marijuana plants with his RC-3. :cool:
 
That's a good book. If for no other reason than to let people realize it's not too late to learn stuff--STRAUSS goes out and actually EXPERIENCES stuff. He then takes the knowledge and owns it by practicing it repeatedly later.

Oh yeah, Jeff and Mike's knives aren't bad either....
 
The way he says "a 3 inch RAT knife" he's probably referring to an Ontario version but after the Springfield Armory XD mention it doesn't really matter.:D
 
You guys and your damn books.

I hate Amazon because they let you read a little bit of the book. By then, I'm hooked and I end up ordering it.

But it just can't end there can it......Oh no, then they tell me that I just need to spend 14 more bucks to qualify for super saver shipping, so I added Cody Lundin's book, when disaster strikes.

But that books only 13 and change, so then I need to add a dollar and change somehow, so I look through all the crap bargain books to no avail and finally in a fit of disgust, add another 13 dollar book to my order just to save 5 bucks on shipping.

Crap.
 
That's what happens to me too, shotgunner, because I hate paying for shipping when I can avoid it. Misery loves company. :p

No matter which version he carries, he said RAT, not Onta***. That's worth sumpthin'! ;)
