I have seen the RAT Laser Strike but don't know anything about it. Does anyone know the specifications of it? Also I have looked around but couldn't find one for sale. What would it cost if I were to find one?

They are not made anymore at the present time. We plan on bringing the model back out though.

That was a long time ago. I would do a search and see if someone wants to sell theirs. These were built by John Greco for us. We may get Shon to do some more of these one day. I still have the die stamp used to put the name RAT in the blade and some of the leather sheaths.

Thanks, Jeff. That's a gread little design. I'll look for one. If you get Shon to make them, I'm sure they'll have no problem selling. At least one will be coming to SC.

Damn, a walk down memory lane.

The Laser strike was one of my grail knives back when 25 bucks was wwaaaaayyyyyyy too much to spend on a blade and 100 bucks was unthinkable.

Old school goodness.

I like 'em both. The skinner would definitely get used .. especially when I have to clean 10 deer a year, at least.

If the laser strike wasn't discontinued I would definitely own one. I also like the skinner but I don't need to skin anything.

Woohoo! Talk about blast from the past! Back in 2000 - '01, when I had just discovered the different forums/discussion boards, as well as TK, I remember this strange but very practical design the first time I visited the RAT site. I even remember the explanation describing how you didn't need to change your grip and simply change the position of your fingers for different cutting tasks.

Here's hoping she makes a comeback sometime!

Oh! That laser strike is nice looking! I'm glad there are plans to bring it back out!

I like the looks of both of those knives. If they become available again, they will probably make it to my RAT family.
