I seem to have an abundance of choppers (Basic 9, Dogfather, RM & RD). All are users except the RD, which is minty. I'm trying to thin the herd to free up some funds, already sacrificed the Battle Rat and the Sage FFBM. I'm trying to decide (without using the RD) which to keep, the RD or RM. I'd love to hear pro & con arguments from those of you who have used both.

Thanks in advance.

I have the Rat Daddy and never considered any other new size. I already had a Battle Rat and find it to be a great camp knife. The RD is more of a woods knife for clearing shooting lanes and clearing up around trails.

Another vote for the RD.....it is the end all Swamps. Large, light, fast and an absolute power house chopper!!!

Who's your Rat Daddy?

I like the RD, but the RM is a close second. If you're looking to sell and want to keep the RD mint for sale, then you won't miss out on a terrible amount of reach or chopping power.

Still, you're gonna regret not using it if you sell it. :p

I've never used the RM, but have had 2 RD's... It's a sweet blade to use.

I agree with Gravel, the RD just seems to be the king of the Swamp.

Sorry, stupid question, I am new to the swamp, which blade is the Rat Mastiff, which one is the Rat Daddy and what is the 3rd blade?

I vote you get rid of the Rat Mastiff.:) I will get the mo in the mail tomorrow.:)

Rat Daddy is the Best thing ever to crawl out of the swamp.

If I had to keep only one of my Rats, that would be it.

Since you've already go a Dog Father, which is roughly the same size, I'd say go ahead and sell the Daddy. You'll get the most $$$$ for it, since it's in the best condition and the most desired out of the bunch.
