RAT Pack at work

So I find myself doing a little prep work for dinner and realize I have not taken a shot of my RAT Pack since the new handles. I know it may seem like blasphemy to use a RAT Pack knife, but I have a user and a keeper.

This is the RAT Pack I initially put gun blue on. Made it look dull. Nevr-Dull does a great job of removing gun blue while not damaging the coating at all. It has no abrasive. Removes rust as well.

I just can’t seem to warm up to the orange handles. They are very grippy (hey, new word) and durable, but ORANGE. Looks cool in photos. Helps in the recovery of knives dropped in the woods. Too bad they don’t come on the 6 so FLEXXX can have a better time recovering his 6. Guess I just prefer the gray Micarta feel over the G-10. Plus, after years of use, the gray will wear and take on a personality. The orange will look new.

Very nice. I was thinking about this, the orange tkc handles on my 4 look new even though they have been worked, I liked how my grey micarta looked "weathered" ... orange linen micarta anyone?

The ORANGE was the reason I traded you mine for my 3MIL. Thanks by the way, I love my 3MIL. :D

I'd look at the orange and go......hmmmm. But my main reason is I'm not a collector and thought before I went to wanging on it someone might want a pristine one. Haha.
