I was just wondering what the favorite malt beverages are for fellow Rat Packers.

I know I prefer the following:

Shiner Bock - A great Texas beer

Sam Adams, Amstel Light, Corona, Coors Light.

I really prefer to sip a good whiskey. Getting FOB is a pisser....

Blantons, Knob Creek, and Jack for special occasions.

Wild Turkey for average affairs.

i also home brew from time to time , and enjoy a weekly beer tasting at a local beer supply house. got to love some trapist ales too.

i don't drink often so when i do i try to make it special.

Big fan of Shiner also. Ice cold
I also like the Mexican beers, Corona,Tecate and XX
I mostly sip wine nowadays.

If its not the family's home brew (and that ain't beer, either! :D), its usually Bass Ale or Guiness. A Dos Equis isn't bad for a change.

I was never able to acquire a taste for beer, and don't think I didn't try. I'm a heathen, I know, :D It's Crown Royal or Makers Mark for me:thumbup:

If I drink beer I will go Shiner or Shiner Blonde .... mainly I drink water or Tea and some coffee, & Some Crown Royal never hurts Right ?

I enjoy a Guinness now and again, also enjoy Negra Modelo when I am out of town or on vacation.

I am more of a Cap'n & Coke kinda guy though.

For beer, I like to go with either Tetley's or Carona. I'm more of a liquor sipper though. In the cabinet, you'll find Glenlivet 18, Macallan 12 and 18, some decent apple brandy, and a few good flavored rums for mixing with Sprite (makes a killer refreshing drink in the Summer). As far as alcohol goes, I'm a spoiled brat.

Edit: OH! and Jameson Gold Reserve. Jesus, how could I forget that! Man I'm slippin'!

Been a while since I had some apple brandy.... Bringing back some good memories.:)

Fosters (gotta love a 32 Oz can!)
Sheaf Stout (the only thing better than a 32 Oz can is a 22 Oz glass bottle)

Shiners Bock... again
Corona for something different

Coke Black (this is Coke's version of an energy drink, half Coke / half black coffee) + Jack Daniels = JACK BLACK
think about it... black coffee, jack daniels and coke served ice cold!

Makers Mark :D:thumbup: WOO HOO , 6 ozs. with ice (and I like a glass of diet Coke on the side, I'm a soda fiend).

I do like beer, but only after a long days work outside weeding, landscaping, painting, washing the boat etc. you know when your outside morning to evening and you sweat so much your tee shirt is see-thru, thats when I like to drink an ICE COLD beer, any beer really, but I do like Killians Irish Red or Yuengling Black & Tan bottles are really good.
