Rat Pack Molle Question

Guys, my Rat Pack kiife came today and I attached the molle locks to the sheath per the instructions provided. The section of the molle locks that are intended to slip in to the Pals webbing come ove the sheath at an angle, getting wider as they move toward the tips. Therefore, they don't seem to align with the Pals webbing. I can force them through the webbing I guess but I wonder what's amiss. As I said, I have followed the instructions as far as I can see.

Anyone else having this experience?
 
It's not a perfect system but it will fit with a little fineggling. Your not alone, its just the short length of the sheath makes it hard to have the holes run parallel.
 
If anything it enhances the weld of the sheath to the pack. Once it's on there it's on there good! :D
 
I'd like to see a pic of the problem. I think I know what you're talking about but a pic would be nice.

I run my clips upsidedown. It fits fine if you use the washers right. There is a slight angle, but it locked in clean to my Maxpedition Jumbo.
 
I had no problem getting mine on my maxped....went on just like all my other rats (fit perfectly) :D. the only knife I have that I can't use the molle lock on is my crk pro soldier (can't pull the knife out) and that sheath is made by blade tech...but maybe I need longer hardwear for that one so I can use the rubbers?

I'd attached the molle clips exactly as shown in the directions. The section of the clips intended to go through the Pals webbing don't line up with the webbing because they extend from the sheath at a widening angle. It's not a big deal. I'll just figure out a different way to carry the knife.

Editted to add: I just looked at the sheath section on the RAT Cutlery site. The picture of the RC3 sheath and Molle locks shown on the website shows the hinged section on the Molle locks near the bottom of the sheath while the instructions that came with the RC3 show the hinged section of the Molle clip near the top of the sheath, near the knife's pommel. Maybe either is okay?
