I've been carrying my RC-3 on and off for more than a year now. I firmly believe that it is the best fixed blade knife for daily carry and use thanks to the perfect compromise between usability and concealability.
That said, I wanted a thicker knife for bushcraft stuff.
First Impressions of the RC-4
I thought it would be bigger. It really doesn't seem much bigger than my RC-3. The handle feels exactly the same, and the blade is just a tad longer. It is heavier though, thanks to the thicker blade which is what I wanted.
I really really really like the kydex sheath and MOLLE back attachment.
I'm can't wait to take this knife out on the trail later this week and give it a workout. I need to practice making a fire and building a shelter. I will take pictures
If this knife works as well as my RC-3 I will have found my perfect outdoor knife.
