Ok about two days ago for some reason I became interested in the Rat RC series and have decided on the RC 4 in the Orange G10 and I was wondering if someone has some pictures and where the best price would be, I am looking at yourcornerstore.com at about $90 shipped.

Thank you in advance for your pics and help, and if you could tell me how much you like your RAT's that would be awesome.

Try Knifeworks, Two wolves outdoor, or Knives ship free as well.

I would go with yourcornerstore if you are looking for the combo edge, as that is all they have in stock right now. If you are looking for the plain edge version you can get it at chestnut ridge knife shop. It is about $10 more there, but still at least $10 cheaper than anywhere else. I have done business with CRKS before and they are great people. Derrick who posted above is also top knotch, and I have also had great experiences with his company. You will definitely not regret getting an rc-4. It is a GREAT knife :thumbup::thumbup:

Great thing to become interested in, and I like mine a lot.

There is a down side to liking these RATs. You will be addicted, and you will than buy more and become broke. (Unless you can resist the urge :D )

Well I am addicted Spyderco's and Emerson's so I need a fixed blade to get addicted to and I figure why not go with what seems to be a great design and I know that you guys love them around here.

Oh and on Knivesshipfree.com I see the leather sheaths for the RAT's what do you think of them vs the one that comes with them? and I am pretty sure that is where I am going to order from because the owner is on the forums I'll support that and has a good price.

I have both an RC6 and an RC4 with the new RC5 on order. I am a tough guy to please when it comes to equipment and I have been very impressed with the knives as well as the company. You can't go wrong.

I have one for the RC-3. Very high quality sheaths and a very nice option to switch things up. Personally, I got the leather sheath as I prefer it to plastic. They are heavy duty, waterproof and they fit the knife great.

Knivesshipfree is great because Derrick is a high quality individual, an active forum member, gives great customer service and because he ships crazy fast. I often wonder if he's paying off the postman to hurry things along.

These photos helped my realize the difference in blade thickness between the 3 and 4. I have a RC-6, and am now wanting something smaller to go with it. It might be an Izula.

Is the orange G-10 as grippy as the canvas micarta? I love the color, but I also love the feel of the rough micarta.

I took the RC-6 out for a solo camp trip last weekend, along with a 4" Swamp and a Lone Wolf folder, hoping to try out a few tasks with each. I had so much fun with the RC-6, that I neglected to learn anything about the other knives. I also spent most of my time on fire chores, so that knife proved to be the most useful. The RC-6 Batoned like a champ, and I had an awesome fire. One critique- the tan sheath was hard to spot on the winter ground among dry leaves (as I was not wearing the sheath, it carries the handle too high for my taste on the belt). An orange sheath would be a cool option for this knife.

I touched up the edge a bit last night, and am back to slcing sharp. I love that knife. Yes, they are addictive.

The orange g10 is the most smooth (ergo, least grippy) of the available handle options. It's not slippery though, and the excellent ergonomics of it do a lot to prevent slippage.

I've never been a big fan of green anything... but with those orange handles... those are NICE!

Tony, you sombitch, that's just too many RAT knives for one person to possess (unless your knives are belong to me)! :p
