anyone have both? i would consider it a personal favor if you posted a pic of these 2 knives side by side. I have the para military and am considering the rc4 but am concerned about the handle length (i recently bought a more or less useless to me bark river highland with a handle i hate) thanks in advance

Here are a couple of quick and dirty shots. I really like both knives btw. The RC4 is one tough knife that can be sharp as hell, though the blade grind bothers me a little, would like it to be thinner at the edge. As for the paramilitary, I love it. The only thing that is somewhat of an issue is blade retention. The blade on mine seems to come out a little too easy for my likings, but other than that it is amazing. It is the knife that truly got me hooked on knives.

As for the handle on the RC4, it looks short in the photo, but it isn't for me. Feels and looks like it'd be too thin of a handle, but even that hasn't been an issue.

i also love my para military and the blade retention on my is so perfect is ridiculous. maybe i have an exceptional specimen but i can adjust the pivot so that its loose enough to flick open and closed and blade play is zero and retention is super tight. that rc4 handle looks to damn small why doesnt anyone make a knife for me???????
thanks for the pics by the way i owe you one

If you wanted a barkie of that size with a good handle you should have got the bravo 1.

ive been considering a bravo 1 but am a bit worried about the choil? thingy on the back and the slickness of the micarta. basically i thought my highland would be ok until i field dressed a bear with it and was constantly worried about slipping and slicing my hand, the thing cut like a dream but handled like garbage

I don't like polished micarta either but a little 150 or 220 grit sandpaper takes care of that.

yeah i was thinking that too, i just dont want to spend a bunch of money on a knife i end up hating again or else i would have already bought the bravo anyone have a bravo 1 and an rc4 for comparison?
