WOW! It has been a while sense I was this impressed by a new knife.
Feels great in hand and razor sharp.Thought I would need to order a Tec-Lock for it but I am digging the clip.
Also got a couple other goodies along with it.
I think I am close to being ready to join the Rat Pack.

RC 5 = Sweet. I think this color combo is awesome and I CANNOT wait to get mine. Congrats on the score.

Nice knife u812, I have the same knife and I absolutely love mine. I like the look of the kydex sheath as well, I have the Eagle sheath, its good but I think I like the kydex better. Nice lanyard too. Congrats!
 
Newbie question:

Where's the best place to order RATs and how do you feel about the size of the RC-5 for an EDC?

If your a lumberjack or park ranger, rc5 is a great edc. Rc3 is what I use when not in the woods
 
Its a beast. Love mine. I have the Eagle Sheath and its been working well. It lives strapped to my right shin in the airplane.

i was wondering if i should get this knife or the RC-4.
I am in the woods constantly and go backpacking and trail hiking often.
Which would be better?

I like thick beefy blades,my use is much like yours.
I can tell you that the thickness does not hurt it at all in slicing.It runs through a sheet of paper as good as a small folder.
