horsecut walnut bone--delrin--stag-- celluloid tortoise--stag--fall harvest acrylic--delrin--stag & acrylic rotten banana
all the larger ones are gec & the small new jack is also gec. the others from l to r kutmaster--camillus--cold steel. of all the knives only the plain cold steel came ready to work. my experience with the carbon 5 alloy has been very satisfying . the 2 regular musks are 1095 on the left with gec's 440c on the right. gec's 440c has it's standard orange peel polish. the radical musk is gec in their musk furtaker mdl.. if going for rabbits & squirrels i would walk out the door with the cold steel hands down.

Dennis, I'm not sure I know which one of those knives is the cold steel model. I'm guessing it is the third one in from the right, but I could definitely be wrong.

If I was headed out the door for rabbits or squirrels, my Schrade 194OT would be in my pocket, just because it always has.

That rotten banana on the jack looks great. I've eaten quite a few bananas that were further gone than that though. - Ed

I would of never thought that...

Cold Steel!!!

Great knives as always!

Thanks for sharing with us

in the 80s & early 90s cold steel turned out some great knives. i bought a ton of them & was never displeased. twistmasters, recon scout, trailmaster, bush ranger & the folders in rat & stockman.dennis

neeman the queen city in winterbottom is really what a a muskrat is about.this pattern was never designed for heavy cutting but really hails back to the depression & earlier when many farmers & ranchers turned to pursuit of fur for additional income. the slender blade allows easy cuts along the legs to remove the hide.as much as i like gec their musk would slow an ole time fur taker down. the blade is simply too fat.

Thats a gorgeous group.Didnt Camillus make the Cold Steel folder line?It looks very similar to yours on the opposite side. They are all beauties!

As always, i like your taste&selection Dennis. I agree with you about Neeman's Queen Rat:those blades are so slim that I take one out as a fillet knife when fishing once in a while, works a treat!

Beautiful lineup, Dennis, and nice photo, too. The detail, color and contrast are spot on. I love the burnt stag on the 3rd GEC from the left, and the Fall Harvest handle couldn't be more timely.
