Rat Shaker II

Hi whitedoor,

So far only a small batch has made it's way through the Company Store. Though, these few are just a precursor to a much larger batch that will hopefully be released soon.

Keep your eyes to the forums. When these are released, they will no doubt sell VERY fast. ;)

For clarification, the Shaker I had several holes in the handle, while the Shaker II just had one large hole, correct?

Both have only been offered in black thus far, correct?

What were the prices on the I and II? Dimensions?

Was the I made out of D2, or SR101?

Any pics compariing the two?

I've got both a desert tan Assault Shaker and a Rat Shaker II. Same size. I believe that the RS has always been black and 101 steel. Check out "The Swamp" for pix of both.

I too would LOVE to see the Rat Shaker (in 3/16" & 1/4") be added to the regular line for a while. I think they'd be a big hit. I had a RSI in 3/16th" and I miss it dreadfully...

I'd very much like a rat shaker in 3/16" or even 1/8. These are pretty short knives, folks. In knives this size, I really prefer thinner stock. If I want a sharp prybar, I'll grab a camp tramp, battle rat, battle mistress, etc. ...And sometimes I do...but I've already got those options.
 
Very true. These 1/4"ers aren't the greatest cutters. They are great for general stabbing, poking, and prying though -- things that you couldn't do with a standard folder.

In tandem with a Rat Trap, you could take care of almost anything that you'd need to during the standard workday. Urban EDC .... :D
