I have an Ontario RAT TAC-1 and a RAT Cutlery (pre-ESEE) RC-5.
Both are used and have coating wear. I don't see any chips, dings, rolls, etc in the edges and they both still cut like new but could still use a sharpening.
The TAC-1 features gray-coated D-2 steel and linen micarta handles. It comes with a custom On/Scene Tactical kydex sheath which is a vast improvement over the crap sheath it came with.
(UPDATE: Just added pics for the TAK. The coating on the tip has been rubbed off, which isn't shown in the pics. The tip itself still doesn't have any damage though... this is one tough knife...)
The RC-5 has black-coated 1095 steel and canvas micarta handles. It comes with the factory-issued kydex sheath and attachable belt-loop. No pics, but you get the idea.
No boxes or papers with these. Just the knives and sheaths.
TAC-1 is $65
RC-5 is sold.
