Rat Tail Wrap

I had been looking for a Rat Tail for a while and was lucky enough to pick up one off the sale forum last weekend (Thanks on_the_edge!).

It is an unwrapped desert coated version that I'd like to wrap "strider" style in OD paracord. I've read several threads about wrapping and most recommend soaking the paracord first for a tighter wrap. Has anyone done this? I'm worried that the wet cord could cause some rust spots under the wrap before it completly drys out???

I also need to decide on a sheath. Anyone have some pictures of their On-Scene or Buy Brown sheaths they'd like to share?

I personally like to wait until after the wrap to wet the cord in Warm water that way when I shrinks up it make it that much tighter. As for rusting, if the coating is intact I wouldn't give it any thought as that is what the coating does protect from rust
